When you hear the words ‘limited edition’ in reference to a game that’s about to come out, you imagine that it’ll come with some exclusive, worthwhile items that can be found nowhere else and justify the ‘limited’ title.
The Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Limited Edition doesn’t quite fit that.
Revealed on the PlayStation Blog earlier today, the new edition of the HD release comes with one bonus item: a collectible pin badge featuring main character Sora and Mickey Mouse.
That’s it.
The badge, if you were wondering, is “made of out of a soft enamel coating on metal and at its height, it stretches out to 4.27 cm.”
Fortunately, the limited edition comes as a free upgrade to those that pre-order the game before its December release.
While Kingdom Hearts fans with undoubtedly be picking up the HD collection, it’s still a bit of a disappointment. Even more so when you consider that, in Japan, there will be several collector’s editions of the game, with one bundling both 1.5 and 2.5 HD.
Who knows, maybe Square Enix will announce later editions as we near December. It is only July, after all.
