Kohl’s will debut a fashion collection by designer Narcisco Rodriguez on November 7, 2012 at 7 AM.
The designs will be available for a limited time only. The collection is inspired by the sights, sounds and colors of Istanbul.
According to Rodriguez’ site, narciscoandyou.net, the designer is inspired by photography and architecture. Clean lines, tailoring and composition are the hallmarks of a Rodriguez design.
These qualities are evident in the new Kohl’s collection as well. Color blocking and wrap styling are used extensively. Colors include fuchsia, teal, white, blue, black and gray. Fuchsia and teal may seem surprising colors at first, but they reference the vivid stained glass of the Far East. Kohl’s will offer an unstructured wrap coat in both cobalt blue and fuchsia.
The patterns reflect the geometry found in Turkish architecture. Black and white patterns are seen in blouses as well as trousers. Other pieces include flowing pants, asymmetric blouses and sleek color block dresses.
According to Cosmopolitan.com’s Carly Cardellino, the fashions will sell for between $30-$150.00. Similar Rodriguez dresses sell at Barney’s and Neiman Marcus for around $1600.
