Do you prefer your Legos as toys or videos?
Well, it looks like now you will be able to enjoy both! Warner Bros. and Traveller’s Tales Games have announced today one of their upcoming projects: Lego Dimensions.
This project, much akin to Disney’s Infinity and Activision’s Skylanders franchises, will combine the use of Lego toy sets and video games. The toys will be used to summon and use characters, vehicles, gadgets, and other items in the game.
The Lego expansion sets will come in numerous Level, Theme, and Fun Packs that will go on sale after the game’s release on September 29, 2015.
The Starter Pack will include pieces to build a Lego Gateway, as well as three staring characters: Batman, Wyldstyle, and Gandalf.
Some of the iconic franchises that will be explored include DC Comics, The Lego Movie, Ninjago, Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, and The Wizard of Oz. These will all come in their own themed packs, consisting of physical figures like Marty McFly, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg, as well as downloadable assets like gadgets, vehicles, tools, and levels. They are scheduled for release during 2015.
Lego Dimensions will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and WiiU. The Starter Pack will be available at $99.99, while the Level and Theme Packs will be priced at $24.99, and Fun Packs at $14.99.
