Finding the perfect conditioner is an ongoing struggle, especially for those with the combination of heat and color damage.  It makes it even more expensive when you have long hair and need to use twice as much.  All of the above apply to my hair, so I have been on a constant hunt for a holy grail conditioner.

I spotted the L’Oréal EverCreme Intense Nourishing Conditioner while at the store and decided to give it a shot.  It isn’t a large container (8.5 fl oz), so I figured if I hated it, I wasn’t wasting a whole lot of product.

Overall, it’s a good product.

First impression: I absolutely love the smell.  If you’ve ever smelled the Warm Vanilla Sugar scent from Bath and Body Works, you know what this conditioner smells like.  Their smells are almost identical.

My hair is extremely heat and color damaged.  The ends of my hair have been colored numerous times with bleaches and various other colors, plus heat styling for years.  For me, a good conditioner makes my hair feel like normal hair.  This conditioner does that for me.  While it’s not a fantastic conditioner, making my hair feel perfectly silky and amazing, it might do that for someone that does not have severely damaged hair.  The amount of help your hair needs from your conditioner is completely subjective.  The conditioner is advertised on the tube for dry to very dry hair, which I still think is fairly accurate.

The conditioner is sulfate-free.  It is free of all heavy waxes as well.   For me, this is a great everyday conditioner.  I may find myself repurchasing this product as a go-to conditioner while I search for my holy grail perfect conditioner to revitalize my hair to its natural state.

The conditioner also comes in other formulas, including a blonde-enhancing blend.
