Thursday night, the winner of this season’s “So You Think You Can Dance” was crowned.
With 11.5 million votes the competition came down to two women, Sasha Mallory and Melanie Moore.
Moore, 23, was crowned ‘America’s Favorite Dancer’ with a whopping 47% of the Top Four vote. Mallory came in second with 32%, Germar in third, and Gadduage in forth.
Moore won the $250,000 cash prize, will be featured on the cover of Dance Spirit magazine, will be recognized as a Gatorade athlete, and in a new G Series FIT campaign.
After being told she was ‘America’s Favorite Dancer’, and as confetti poured onto the stage, Moore thanked the audience: “Winning means the world to me,” she said. “It is such a major stepping stone, and I have learned so much through this experience. I have so much more to learn, and I have decided that I want to go back to school for dance.”
