On Friday night, Starlin Castro of the Chicago Cubs became the youngest Cub ever to get 200 hits in one season, and was added to the record books. Castro is the 16th Cub to reach 200 hits in a season, as well as the first major league player to do it at age 21 since Alex Rodriguez in 1996.
The Cardinals (86-71) currently stand in second place in the National League (Central), while the Cubs (70-87) are 16 wins behind in fourth. The Milwaukee Brewers hold the first spot (92-65).
