More AirBag Recalls For Honda, Toyota and Nissan

There was more trouble for Takata airbags this week as Honda, Nissan and Toyota have all expanded their recalls for faulty and deadly airbags.

Honda has recalled an additional 4.89 million vehicles globally for a new type of problem with the Takata airbag inflators.

Toyota’s Takata related recalls are now at 8.1 million and Nissan has around 4 million.

The cause of the latest trouble is yet to be fully understood. According to Honda the new issue is a leak can develop and cause a rupture which leads to an explosion.

As of Thursday, May-14-15, Takata will be responsible for 33 million vehicle recalls globally over the last 10 years.
