NBA Finals Game 6: Preview, Odds, TV Time, Channel

The Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks go head to head tonight in South Beach for the NBA Finals, Game 6.

The Heat are down a game in the best of 7 series. With a win, the Mavericks could clinch the NBA Championship tonight. But Miami is favored to win. Online sports book Bodog has the Heat as 4 and a half point favorites at the time this is being written (down from 6 point favorites a few hours ago). Many analysts are also predicting a win tonight for the Miami Heat, who will be playing in front of their home crowd.

The NBA Finals, 2011, series saw Miami win the first game, on May 31, 92 to 84. Dallas won the second game on June 2, 95 to 93. On June 5, Miami came back 88 to 86. The Maverics won the next game, on June 7, 86 to 83… and the following game, on June 9, 112 to the Heat’s 103.

Tonight’s game 6 is scheduled to start at 8:02pm (Eastern Time) and will be shown on ABC. If Miami wins and we go on to game 7, it will be on Tuesday, June 14 at 9pm, and will also be shown on ABC.

The is the second time each of these teams have reached the NBA Finals. Both of them got here and played each other in 2006 – so this is a rematch. In 2006, Miami trailed early in the series, going down to Dallas 0 – 2. But then they came back strong, winning the next four in a row and finishing the finals at game 6.
