This morning a teaser image of the next Need for Speed game was released on the official Need for Speed Facebook page.
The game is expected to be revealed on their YouTube channel sometime tomorrow, May 21st.
The image depicts a green car, but written on the tire is the word “Speedhunters.” Speedhunters is a community made up of car enthusiasts owned by EA.
This hints at the “more open conversations” with fans that EA has announced they will have.
Need for Speed posted the picture with the caption “Are you ready for the next chapter?”
Current Need for Speed developer, Ghost Games, has promised that this entry will be “dramatically different.” Hopefully, the reveal will show off what is so different about the game.
Need for Speed is a series of racing games that has had multiple developers over the years. The series launched in 1994 with The Need for Speed.
It’s the most successful racing game series in the world, with over 100 million copies sold.
The franchise has released an installment every year since 1996, except for 2001 and 2014.
This new game is scheduled to be released between October 1 and December 31, according to an EA release calender.
