New Crysis 3 Trailer: Reveals NY Jungle, New NanoSuit & More [Video]

The new Crysis 3 trailer offers a small, yet definitive, glimpse into the new Crysis world. With explosions and slow motion action throughout most of the trailer, everything seems to be made epic and breathtaking.

The most striking aspect of the trailer seems the post apocalyptic New York City jungle. The Crysis 3 website offers,”New York City has been contained in a giant nanodome and grown into a unique rainforest with seven distinct environments.”

The visuals appear to combine elements from previous editions of the series, taking the jungle setting in the first Crysis and the sprawling city backdrop in Crysis 2.

The new trailer does not seem to offer much when it comes to revealing the gameplay, but rather vents it’s efforts on the visual style and action sequences. There are big explosions, gunfights, aliens and obviously the “prophet” in all his glory. Media quotes have been added to the action sequences to generate hype for the game.

Fans of the series will be more than excited to learn about the new NanoSuit. Here is what the official website states, “Your upgraded Nanosuit allows brute force or stealth, always giving you more than one option. Use a lethal composite bow, an enhanced Nanosuit and devastating alien tech to become the deadliest hunter on the planet.”

The new Crysis 3 will be powered by the cryENGINE 3 and will be available in February, 2013 for Xbox-360, PS3 and the PC.
