New CVS Shopping App Plus Curbside Service

CVS is introducing a new Shopping App that allows you to purchase items from the comfort of your home. CVS will notify you when your items are ready and you simply drive to the store and the items will be delivered to your car as soon as you enter the parking lot.

The App and curbside service are free.

Yes, this is real.

CVS, the nation’s is the second largest pharmaceutical chain has partnered with Curbside, a Silicon Valley startup company, to provide this ground breaking service. The company issued a press release on April 19^th announcing the official launch of the CVS Express App and its partnership with Curbside.

“Retail pharmacy is an exciting, competitive landscape that is ripe for digital innovation,” said Helena Foulkes, Executive Vice President, CVS Health and President, CVS Pharmacy. “This partnership with Curbside allows CVS Health to offer new and more convenient ways for our customers to shop with us ultimately making it easier for them to enjoy a healthy lifestyle in a way that works best for them.”

Curbside is a relatively new company that partners with retailers to provide an innovative end-to-end e-commerce shopping experience. They currently provide retailers with order management, pick and pack, customer arrival detection and a host of other services tailored to the specific needs of their clientele. They currently are partnered with:

• CVS
• Best Buy
• Sephora
• Levis
• See’s Candies

Curbside is excited to be working with CVS. CVS Express is the industry’s first retail solution that integrates Curbside’s technology directly into the CVS Pharmacy app.

In partnership with CVS Health we’ve created a fast, convenient new shopping experience that busy CVS Pharmacy customers are going to love.”

How CVS Express works is customers can make mobile, in-app purchase from their local CVS Pharmacy and have those products delivered directly to them when they pull up to the store. The entire process takes about one hour. There are no markups, added costs or hidden fees for this convenience.

The store plans to have this up and running in all 7,900 stores nationwide by the end of this year.
