To commemorate Tolkien Week, the studio behind the “The Lord of the Rings Trilogy” is featuring a variety of new content for the upcoming move “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.”
The film is the first part of a new trilogy from Peter Jackson. It tells the tale of Bilbo Baggins, as he leaves the comfort of his home to journey with likes of Gandalf and a band of dwarves.
This group must travel to the Lonely Mountain to reclaim the dwarven kingdom from the dragon known as Smaug.
Throughout his journey, Bilbo goes through several obstacles: such as trolls, goblins, and the creature known as Gollum. The beginning of Bilbo’s journey is but the first step to an even greater adventure as he will discover the smallest of things that will change the fate of Middle Earth.
The film stars Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage and the returning Ian McKellen. Also part of the cast are returning members of the first trilogy; such as Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood and Andy Serkis.
Throughout the week, fans and viewers alike have seen more pictures of the film as well as getting a brand new trailer, which can be seen below. However, to finish up the celebration of Bilbo’s birthday there is the release of a new poster to the unexpected journey, which you can see on the Lebanese Cinema Movie Guide.
The poster appears to fit into the category of a teaser… but there seems to be something familiar with it.
If you remember anything from the “The Lord of the Rings Trilogy’s” production, then you may notice that this poster resembles of the teasers to the Peter Jackson’s first trilogy, which would only make sense for the sake of continuity.
“The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” hits theaters December 14th.
