New MacBook Air Coming Soon?

From the facts we know and the rumors we’ve hear, it is pretty clear that a new MacBook Air will be hitting the shelves in few weeks. And, unsurprisingly, these MacBooks will be loaded with the recently announced OS X Lion.

At present, the MacBooks are powered by Mac OS X 10.6, or Snow Leopard, which is now a yeal old (as of this June). The new version will have a number of improvements over the previous version. This time, Apple’s aim might be replacing the whole MacBook lineup with the MacBook Air notebooks, as the current laptops from the competitors are closing in to the thinness of MacBook Air. The last new MacBook Air was released in October 2010 = and it was also a great improvement over the previous model. So this year we can expect another quality update from Apple.

The main fact which is boosting the rumor is the shortage of MacBook Air notebooks in the stores. The major stores are already running short of MacBook Air supply. So the new MacBook Air cannot be more than a few weeks away.

The OS X Lion will have a good number of new noticeable features. For example, the ability to restart in Safari mode where only the browser will be loaded. Then there are also Autosave, Resuming work session and a lot more.

Right now, Apple is facing a decline in their PC sales. So it’s time to wait and see if new MacBook can change that.
