In the month of November there will be many feature presentations hitting the big screen, from animated films to long overdue endings. Yet one title that might stand out from the rest is the visually appealing “Life of Pi”
Based on the best-selling novel from Yann Martel, “Life of Pi” tells the story of a young man’s unbelievable journey as he finds himself on a life boat stranded in middle of the sea with only a Bengal Tiger for company.
Through this strange twist of fate, the two set off on an adventure unlike anything else: full of new discoveries as well as marvels beyond the young man’s comprehension.
The latest novel adapted film is directed by none other than Ang Lee, who is best known for the visually impressive “Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon“, as well as the drama “Brokeback Mountain“.
Looking at the new international trailer for the film, “Life of Pi” may very well be a strong contender in the next Academy Awards.
The preview, which can be seen below, showcases similar shots seen in the first trailer, but it is still worth a watch.
Though this film will undeniably get nominated for its visuals, the question still remains: will Ang Lee’s next movie be a must see this year? We will just have to wait and see when “Life of Pi” arrives in theaters November 21st.
