New trailer for Better Call Saul: Atone [Video]

AMC has released a new teaser trailer for the Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul, starring Bob Odenkirk.

Though rather brief, it gives some hints at the troubles that James McGill, the small-time lawyer who becomes Saul Goodman, will face in the year 2002, before his fateful meeting with Walter White.

The trailer features at least two characters telling the young James to abandon his pursuit of greed. One of them is Chuck McGill, his brother, who is played by Michael McKean, telling him that “money is beside the point”, to which James replies that money “IS the point”.

The teaser also reveals several of the title character’s upcoming mishaps. This includes two outbursts, one threatening someone that they will “atone” and another one kicking a trash can. It also looks like at one point, James gets himself kidnapped and dragged in the New Mexico desert. He is also seen opening the door to his office, which is marked by a simple piece of paper, hinting at his hardships at the start of his career as a lawyer.

Better Call Saul will premiere on February 8th, and will have a new episode on February 9th, both at 10pm/9pm central time, on AMC.
