The entire smartphone community will be watching the Nokia World annual conference on October 22 in Abu Dhabi. Different products are expected to be officially announced, including the Nokia Lumia 1520.
A webcast of the the event will be available HERE starting 9:00 AM CEST (3 AM Eastern Time here in the US).
The Lumia 1520 is expected to be launched at the event as the main product, together with middle and lower level offerings.
Reports suggest there will be new six devices introduced at Nokia World. There are also mentions of a new tablet being launched.
The conference is the perfect moment for Nokia to launch the new products. This is because shipping always starts a few weeks after the official announcement and that would put the Nokia Lumia 1520 on the market right in time for the holiday season.
As expected, there are no reports that state how much the smartphone will cost or what deals will be available. That information will likely be released at the conference.
The price tag is expected to be close to that of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the HTC One Max. That means that the Nokia Lumia 1520 could cost between $700 and $900 based on options and various memory capacities available.
Such expectations were confirmed by Endgaget, which uncovered spec and pricing details on a Chinese online retail store when a placeholder page was published. It highlights a 6 inch 1080p display, confirms the 20 megapixel PureView camera, and showcases a 4,999 Yuan price tag, which is around $820.
