Now It’s The HP Pre 3 In A Firesale – Works On US Networks

Reports state that Hewlett-Packard (HP) are discounting the cost of the newly released Pre 3 smartphone in most European locations.

Originally a rather costly phone in both the UK and France, HP has lowered the price to $75 – and that’s without a contract. Unfortunately, Germany will not be benefiting from HP’s price cuts, because all of their devices have sold out already.

The Pre 3 smartphone will not be launching in the United States at all due to HP’s desire to remove itself from the WebOS hardware business. Even though the HP Pre 3 smartphones will not be released in the United States, people have the ability to use the unlocked European models to some extent with a working SIM card from carriers such as AT&T and T-Mobile. The Pre 3 can utilize both carrier’s 2.5G EDGE networks. For 3G bands it has 900, 1900, and 2100 Mhz. AT&T users require 850 and 1900 Mhz for full coverage, so that they can receive limited 3G. T-Mobile users require 1700 Mhz.

The HP Pre 3 features a 3.58-inch touch screen with a 480 by 800 pixel display. The Pre 3 is powered by a 1.4-GHz Qualcomm processor, features a forward-facing camera for video calls, and a 5-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash.

Once the Pre 3 is available for purchase, HP states that they will post a link to the sale.
