Paul Reubens has joined the cast of The Blacklist.
The star, known to millions as child entertainer: Peewee Herman, has been cast in the NBC thriller this fall.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Reuben will play Mr. Vargas, someone who handles “delicate situations in the criminal underworld.”
The character will appear in at least two episodes of The Blacklist’s sophomore season, beginning with episode three.
The Blacklist was one of the few new shows to find success last season.
Much praise for the show success was attributed to the intriguing performance of series star James Spader.
Spader is joined by Reubens and other new comers Mary-Louise Parker and Oz alumni Lee Tergesen in season two.
The Blacklist season premiere is September 22nd on NBC.
