If you have yet to try one of the best turn-based empire-building games in recent times, then you’re in luck: you can play Civilization V on Steam for free until October 23.
As described on the Steam page of Civilization V:

Publisher 2K Games is running the promo for the impending release of Civilization: Beyond Earth, which can be pre-downloaded and ready for play the moment the game officially launches on October 23.

Civilization: Beyond Earth brings quite a few notable additions to the franchise, from Affinities that drastically alter the direction of your faction to a major overhaul of Civilization’s research paths.
