At the L.A. Auto show, Porsche revealed its three newest models, the 911GTS, the Cayenne GTS, and the Panamera Turbo S Executive Exclusive series. The Panamera will be a limited release of only 100 worldwide.
Their are four variants of the 911 Carrera GTS. The model, available as a coupe or a convertible, and can be equipped with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The new GTS is powered by the 430 hp engine found in the Carrera S, and includes the Sports Chrono package and Sport Exhaust as standard.
Parked next to a 911 Carrera, the GTS will look lower as the PASM active damper is set 10mm lower.
GTS models equipped with the PDK transmission will do zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds – 1/10th a second quicker than the S model. Top speeds vary depending on the powertrain chosen, but range from 187 to 190 mph.
The 911 Carrera GTS fills in the performance gap between the Turbo S and GT3, and starts at $114,200.00 US.
The new Cayenne GTS uses a 3.6L V6 twin-turbo engine. This engine is a reworked version of the one powering the Cayenne S.
When compared to the previous models V8, the new 3.6 sees improvements to fuel economy and performance. Power increases are 20 hp and 62 ft-lbs, bringing the totals to 440 hp and 445 ft-lbs of torque.
That equals a 0 to 62 mph time of 5.2 seconds, while the standard sports exhaust emits a pleasingly powerful sound.
Helping the SUV handle like a sports car is the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) damping system and air suspension. In the GTS, it has been tweaked, so the Cayenne GTS sits 20 millimeters lower.
Stopping duty is cared for by the red calipered brakes from the Cayenne Turbo.
Visual changes include the turbo nose fascia with large air intakes, more contoured rocker panels and wheel arch extensions, 20-inch RS Spyder wheels, the exhaust tailpipes, Bi-Xenon headlights, and tinted LED rear lights.
The Cayenne GTS is priced at $95,500.00 US.
The third new model is the Panamera Turbo S Executive Exclusive.
This limited release model is based on the Panamera Turbo S Executive. It features unique equipment, and has a longer wheelbase that results in more rear passenger space.
A Porsche first, the limited production Panamera can comes two-tone paintjob. The hand painted scheme is jet black metallic combined with chestnut brown metallic in the areas under the door handles, tapering to the rear. The large 20-inch Sport Classic wheels are also painted in jet black metallic
The interior is a luxuriantly finished space. Chestnut brown leather covers all the seats and lower door panels. The ventilation perforations in the seats are in the shape of the Porsche logo.
Matching the exterioir paint theme, the upper door panels are covered in black nappa leather. Interior trim is a blend of dark walnut wood and piano black lacquer.
Rear seat occupants will enjoy the newly developed Rear Seat Entertainment System Plus
This feature provides 2-10 inch touchscreens with integrated DVD and entertainment functions, including mobile internet access. The sound is played through wireless headphones or the Burmester high-end surround sound system.
To really show off the exclusivity, an interior plaque showing its limited series number, and outside, hand-made badges behind the front air intakes.
A custom luggage set that includes two trolleys, two weekender bags and a beauty case, made of chestnut brown leather, is optionally available.
The Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series can now be ordered at a MSRP of $263,900.00 US.
