Post-Valentine’s Flights On Sale To Cancun, Bermuda, & More…

Airtran is having a post-Valentine’s Day sale on airfare from and to a wide variety of cities.

Their “Continue The Love” airfare sale requires that tickets be booked before midnight (eastern time) on February 17, 2011. It’s good for air travel through May 24, 2011.

An example of available flights on sale, according to Airtran’s site, include: Baltimore – Bermuda, $104; Atlanta – Cancun, $99; Rochester – Miami, $104; Washington (DC) – Orlando, $89; Chicago – Dallas, $109, New York – New Orleans, $79; Jacksonville – Denver, $149, Wichita – Key West, $139. Seattle – Orlando, $159.

Prices above are for one way air travel. Round trip flights are not required. There are a variety of black out dates for flights from/to different locations at different times, and Airtran lists a range of off peak times in which these airfares are good. They also say that the airfares are subject to availability and sale out quickly.

There are other costs involved.

In thier terms, Airtran states that fares are not refundable. There is a $75 per person charge for changes after purchase (plus cost difference). The cost for a checked bag is $20 for the first one, $25 for the second (per flight). Reservations may be made via phone call at a $15 charge. Additional fees include an Airport Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18; a 9/11 security fee of up to $10; segment taxes of $3.70 for each take off and landing; and additional government taxes of up to $32.60 for flights to/from Puerto Rico, and of up to $100 to/from Mexico.
