Preorder Felicia Day’s Memoir Now

Actress and Internet star Felicia Day announced that her memoir, You’re Never Weird on the Internet (Almost), is scheduled to be released by Touchstone in August, but preorders are available from numerous retailers via feliciadaybook.com.

She has worked in TV and film, but is probably best known for playing Penny, opposite Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion, in Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, as well as playing Codex in the Web series The Guild, which she also created.

She said in a video announcement on Geek & Sundry’s website that the book includes stories she’s never told, including how she was homeschooled, got paid to eat sandwiches, and ran a company. It will also include pictures, embarrassing ones!

“Now I know what you’re thinking,” said 35-year-old Day in the announcement, “You’re saying, ‘Felicia, you’r way too young to be writing a memoir.’ Thanks, Mom. It turns out that I am a girl with enough dysfunction and weirdness to write a whole book.”

She said wants to let people know “if you embrace your weirdness, that can be your biggest strength.”
