With the the dawn of the next generation (of gaming) a mere 5 days away, Sony of America is attempting to “sweeten the pot” for anyone who chooses to go with their giant metal behemoth over Microsoft’s offering.
Earlier today, on Sony’s official PlayStation Blog, it was announced that every PlayStation 4 that is purchased (new) in either the USA or Canada will have a free PlayStation voucher included in the box.
The coupon in question will come with a variety of deals and benefits, all sneakily aimed at raising consumer interest in Sony’s new and improved PlayStation Plus service.
So, what exactly will gamers be getting with this voucher ?
At the time of this post, the PlayStation voucher is reported to come with exactly three deals/benefits attached.
$10 worth of Sony Entertainment Wallet Credit
Gamers will receive a credit code worth $10 (US) that can be used on Sony’s PlayStation Plus network.
This credit, according to Sony, can be put towards any item (or game) available for purchase in the store.
Sony mentions in their post that Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty Ghosts, and Killzone Shadow Fall are all included in the list that the promo code can be used to buy.
A 30 day free trial of the PlayStation Plus Service
As you would expect, there would be no point in Sony giving away a voucher any at all if gamers were not able to fully enjoy all that the PS4 had to offer.
Due to this fact, Sony has also taken the liberty of including a 30 day free trial run of the refreshed (and no longer free) PlayStation Plus service.
A 30 day free trial of Sony’s Music Unlimited Service
Sony will also be including a free 30 day membership to their tremendously underrated Music Unlimited Service.
Music Unlimited is an application (available for PS4, PS Vita and mobile) that allows PlayStation faithfuls to discover, share, and wirelessly stream music from anywhere in North America.
The Sony PS4 is set to launch on the 15th of November. Sony says the vouchers will only be available for a limited time and are only available to new customers.
