PS4 Hardware Expected To Ramp Up Gaming Possibilities

PS4 Hardware Expected To Ramp Up Gaming Possibilities

A lot of studio developers and analysts are making positive statements about PS4.

The latest one comes from Just Cause developer Linus Blomberg, who openly says the hardware of PS4 will ‘out-power most PCs for years to come’.

In an interview with GamingBolt, he says “The consoles desperately need a boost since having been overtaken in terms of performance by PC’s several years ago, and also losing market share to mobile platforms.”

He believes the PS4 will not only be a powerful gaming device from the hardware side, but will be an integrated marketplace and a social tool similar to mobile devices.

It’s the best of all worlds, with a good social ecosystem and an integrated marketplace. For open-world games developers like RockStar and Avalanche Studios, it provides many new exciting opportunities.

Blomberg thinks the PS4 is the right console for Avalanche Studios, and they would be able to bring the open-world gaming to a whole new level. He’s also super-excited about the 8 GB RAM featured in the console.

The PS4 is expected to arrive in the holiday quarter 2013.
