PS4 News: Trade in a PS3 or Xbox 360 for $150 Toward a New PS4

For a limited time (until September 14th), GameStop will allow you to trade in a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 in exchange for a $150 credit that can be used on the purchase of a new PlayStation 4.

There are a few conditions, however.

The PS3 will need to have at least 120GB of storage while the Xbox 360 will need to have at least 250GB. The console will also need to be in perfect working condition in order to receive the full $150 credit. Defective items can also be traded in, but at a lesser value.

You will also need to provide all accessories that originally came with the console when you first purchased it.

GameStop is also holding a similar special for consoles with smaller storage capacities. For a PS3 with 80GB or fewer or an Xbox 360 with 4GB, you’ll receive $75 of credit.

Other conditions include the offer not being available for cash trades or in combination with other offers. The offer is also subject to approval by your store’s manager.

If you’ve been interested in upgrading to current-gen consoles, this offer may just be the best way to do so.
