“PSN Login #Offline” – Did Lizard Squad Attack PSN Again?

PSN seems to be up and running again, but did they suffer an attack from Lizard Squad over the weekend?

On Sunday December 7, gamers experienced login issues with PlayStation Network (PSN).

In a December 7 update from the official PlayStation Twitter account, Sony acknowledged that they were experiencing problems, “we are aware of the issues some users are experiencing, and are working to address them. We’ll keep you updated.”

The PSN outage occurred shortly after the popular hacker group tweeted, “PSN Login #offline #LizardSquad”

Lizard Squad has not provided proof of their claim to have hacked PSN and Sony has not provided an explanation for the disruption, so the truth is unknown.

The hacker group has also claimed responsibility for outages on Xbox Live and promises to cause disruptions  leading up to Christmas Day. Xbox continues to experience limited service at 8pm Monday December 8.

Lizard Squad has claimed responsibility for outages on PSN, Planetside 2 and PC games World of Warcraft earlier this year.

Do you think PSN  was hacked by Lizard Squad? Did you experience outages on PSN or Xbox Live?
