Quentin Tarantino To Film ‘The Hateful Eight’ After All

Apparently all Quentin Tarantino needed was a few months to cool off before deciding to move forward with his much-anticipated follow up to Django Unchained.

Earlier this year, Tarantino was quite perturbed when a screenplay he wrote called The Hateful Eight was leaked onto the internet, so much so that the director said he would not be turning the screenplay into a film, much to the dismay of his fans.

Thankfully, Tarantino has had a change of heart, and reports indicate that he is set to begin filming later this year after he completes a third re-write of the script.

With The Hateful Eight, Tarantino continues he fascination with westerns following Django Unchained, which he described as a “southern.” The Hateful Eight has been described as being similar to Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs, but set in the Old West.

Before changing his mind about filming the project, Tarantino actually held a live reading of the script with several notable actors, including Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, Amber Tamblyn, and Walt Goggins.

Many of the above actors are expected to have roles in the film.  However, notable is the absence of Christoph Waltz, who won Oscars for his roles in Django and Inglorious Basterds, but who doesn’t appear to be in the plans for The Hateful Eight.

Despite the absence of Waltz, on a scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you that Tarantino has decided to make The Hateful Eight?  Lets us know below.
