Recalls Increase Wait Times, Create Jobs

With the record number of automotive recalls happening right now, booking a service at a dealership has become very difficult to do.

All the recall-related work means dealerships simply don’t have enough technicians to keep up with their regular work. This results in customers needing to schedule appointments further in the future.

There is a silver lining however: Dealerships are hiring thousands of additional technicians right now.

So, if you are skilled under the hood, send in your resume to your local car dealer. Or, if you were thinking about attending an automotive technical training school, now would be a great time.

Are you considering a career change and interested in becoming an automotive tech? Are you currently working at a dealership and run off your feet? Let us know in the comments.
