Redbox has several popular new releases this week and has announced both a summertime special, their “Summer Fun & Games” promotion, and a 50¢ Wednesdays special.
First let’s take a look at the new releases.
The Adjustment Bureau was just made it to RedBox yesterday and is already number 14 on their top 20 list.
It stars Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in a political-romance-thriller. Other new releases include House of the Rising Sun,
Unknown, the historical fiction drama The Eagle, the animated feature Rango, martial arts flick Legend of the Fist, the Return of Chen Zhen, Hall Pass, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and The Lincoln Lawyer.
Now the promotions – Redbox is having a 50¢ special on Wednesdays from now until July 27.
Select movies and games are available for 50¢ on their first day of rental when reserved online through their site. *Update – please note that the 50¢ special only applies to select family friendly titles (PG-13 rating and under).* – editor
In the “Summer Fun & Games” promotion, users can rent two movies between July 18th and July 31st, and receive a free one-night dvd rental promo code by email for use between August 1st and August 14th.
Users who rent movies through the kiosks and provide their email addresses, or reserve movies or games online, also qualify for RedBox’s $10,000 of Family Fun sweepstakes.
RedBox rented out more than 25 million family movies last year, and claims to have over 60 family friendly movies available at their RedBox kiosks this summer.
