Those who envied the journalists present in the Google I/O as each of them got a Samsung Chromebook can now rejoice. Google announced that the Samsung Chromebooks would be available from June 15 and here they are! 4 models of Samsung Chromebooks in various colors and connectivity are available now at Amazon and  Best Buy.

The newly arrived Chromebooks are mainly available online, and customers will not have many options at brick and mortar stores. Right now, only the Arctic White model is available if you want yours instantly. Otherwise you will have to wait a bit to get your Chromebook of choice.

The price of the Wi-Fi model is $429, and the 3G model is $499.  All the specifications are same except the connectivity. Both models feature Intel Atom 1.66GHz processors and 2GB RAM with 16GB of SSD storage.

The only competitor of Samsung Chromebook, Acer Chromebook, is still listed for pre-order – though it should have been available on the same date as the Samsung Chromebooks. The key difference between the two Chromebooks is the pricing. Acer is, predictably, the cheaper one. Though the Samsung Chromebook looks better. Customer feedback is moderate and no major faults are reported.
