Shell’s 22¢ Per Gallon Of Gas Discount Day Is Tomorrow – But There’s a Catch

Shell is discounting gas by 22¢ per gallon to celebrate Joey Lagano’s NASCAR win last weekend.

Shell is a sponsor of Lagano, who drives the #22 Shell/Pennzoil Ford Fusion car.

There’s a couple of catches to the 22¢ per gallon discount though.

According to Shell, the discount only applies to members of their Fuel Rewards Network (FRN).

In a press release published last month, Shell said the 22¢ discount offer “…is available to both new and existing FRN Members and will be sent via email (including an FRN™ Rewards Code and activation instructions) to Shell $aver Cardholders who purchase fuel on WINsday.”

The FRN sign up form is here.

There’s another catch though… The discount does not actually apply to the gas purchased tomorrow. Consumers receive points on their FRN card for a discount of 22¢ per gallon on a future fill up.

The future discount applies for up to 25 gallons of any grade of Shell Nitrogen Enriched Gasolines or Shell Diesel.

Will you be taking advantage of the gasoline discount, or are there too many hoops to jump through?
