A 3rd teaser has been released for the upcoming final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and let’s just say the word teaser is aptly used here.
This clip is only 16 seconds long and just like the previous 2 it is small on dialogue but big on imagery.
This teaser appears to be a continuation of the first two and shows Jax getting off his bike and looking around into the darkness along the road.
As he turns his head the imagery shifts between his face and that of a skeleton.
While it’s anyone’s guess what all these clips mean, based on recent interviews I have come to believe these clips foreshadow Jax murdering his mother Gemma (Katey Segal).
This past Monday show creator Kurt Sutter, along with Charlie Hunnam (Jax) both said Jax will be in turmoil and on a quest for vengeance.
When you pair those words with these teasers it makes perfect sense that the skeleton symbolizes Jax as the Grim Reaper, who is headed down the highway of death to avenge his wife’s murder at the hands Gemma.
Again this is just my guess and I am sure everyone is just as curious as I am to see what it all means, but it would seem Gemma’s days are numbered.
You have to give Sutter credit though for coming up with these clips, which are strikingly brilliant in their simplicity and will no doubt have fans buzzing.
The cast of SOA is currently at Comic-Con, so there should plenty more news coming in the days ahead.
