Sons of Anarchy Season 7 Spoilers: Sutter Reveals Episode 8 As Game Changer, But What Does It Mean?

As more and more information becomes available about the final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ it seems more questions arise than are answered.

The latest information, straight from show creator Kurt Sutter, reveals Episode 8 will be a “game-changer”.

Sutter, who has been conspicuously absent from his WTF blog on YouTube, made the announcement via Twitter, saying:” writing my draft of 708. Excited to have one of my writer/producers @ChiefRocka77 directing this one.  Its a gamechanga.  #dontf—itup”.

Sutter had said in an earlier interview that episode 7 is typically a big episode, almost like a mid-season cliffhanger.

So it makes sense that episode 8 would be a game changer, as it would show the aftermath of the previous episode.

However, this “revelation” doesn’t really tell us anything new; if anything it just leads to more speculation:

-Is episode 8 when Jax finds out Gemma murdered Tara, which will irrevocably change him as he will be faced with deciding his on mother’s fate?

-Does Jax find out in episode 7 that Gemma murdered Tara and episode 8 is where he murders her, changing who he is and revealing what he will become?

-Maybe episode 8 is when Jax and the club fight it out with the other clubs, changing the base of power in Charming?

See, the fact that episode 8 is a game changer could mean anything- leave it to the brilliant Sutter to reveal everything and nothing all at the same time.

Personally, I have a different theory about the upcoming season than most other writers.

I believe Tara’s death will propel down a dark road, but I also believe that ultimately it will be the catalyst that pushes him towards a different life away form Charming with his boys.

You see, as long as Tara was alive Jax had no reason to change- his wife accepted him and he was trying to put the club on a legitimate path.

Although it would be great to see him make the club what his father wanted it to be, it’s just not possible because of all the other clubs.

Tara dying will ultimately free Jax from this lifestyle and get him away from his mother, who is loving but destructive (and let’s face it a lot crazy).

Hey, that’s my theory- I’m probably wrong, but maybe not- I’ll just have to wait and see along with everyone else.

The 7th and final season of ‘Sons of Anarchy’ premieres September 9 at 10 P.M. (EST) on FX.
