The Winner of the X Factor Season 2 was finally crowned tonight. The first of the final 3 to leave the competition was none other than Fifth Harmony.

It then came down to the lovable country singer Tate Stevens and 13-year old powerhouse sensation Carly Rose Sonenclar.

No shocker here as both contestants consistently took the top two spots of the weekly leader boards.

Hold your breathe no longer guys. The 37-year-old Missouri native Tate Stevens ended up being crowned season 2’s X Factor winner. The prize? A $5 million recording contract with Epic Records.

Stevens appeared to be incredibly emotional as he graciously stated: “I wanna thank the man upstairs for taking care of me. My family. All the country music fans. Thank you so much for the votes. This is the best day of my life.”
