Square Enix Confirms Dragon Quest X For Wii U | In-Game Footage

Square Enix has confirmed that the online RPG game Dragon Quest X will be released for both Wii and Wii U in 2012.

Square Enix, previously known as Squaresoft, is the Japanese video game and publishing company that is best known for releasing the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series.

The Wii U version of Dragon Quest X will have superior graphics, and there is also a strong possibility that it will be Nintendo 3DS compatible.

The formal title of the game is “Dragon Quest X Mezamashi Itsutsu No Shuzoke Online”, which in English, roughly translates to “Dragon Quest X: Awakening of the Five Tribes Online.”

Dragon Quest X will allow players to create their own home and invite other players over, create weapons for others, and let others use their character in their parties when the owner of the character is not playing. There will also be a new job system featuring more jobs and quests.

For its Wii release, Dragon Quest X will ship with a disc and USB. The game will support Wii remotes with nunchucks, classic controllers and even USB keyboards.

More information regarding the game is expected to be released shortly.
