Hockey fans, the moment you’ve been waiting for is finally here: tonight is Game 1 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs featuring the Los Angeles Kings versus the New York Rangers.

The Rangers have had a fairy tale playoff run, winning impossible games to get here.  Fans of the team are hoping their winning streak continues so they can bring home the Stanley Cup for the first time in 20 years.

The Kings are considered the favorites and L.A. fans are expecting them to beat the Rangers easily.

Tickets are available, but as Consumer Press reported earlier in the week, prices have gone through the roof.  Tickets here in New York start at $813.  Tickets  for tonight’s game in Los Angeles are a little better, starting at $350.

You can purchase hats, t-shirts jerseys and more at any of the major retail sporting good stores

Los Angeles has home ice advantage, so game 1 will take place at the Staples center at 8 P.M. (EST) live on NBC and the NHL Network.

You can also catch the game streaming live on NBC Sports Live Extra and with the NBC Sports Live Extra App.
