Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile Now On iOS – Trailer, Screenshots

Originally released on the XBox 360 and PS3 back in March, Street Fighter X Tekken has made the move to portable devices with Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile for iOS systems.

Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile pits characters from the classic Street Fighter franchise against those from Namco‘s Tekken series of fighting games. Players will be able to play matches never before dreamed possible and finally answer questions like “Who would win in a fight – Ryu or Kazuya?”.

The good people at Capcom realized that gamers won’t be using joysticks or thumbpads to play on their iPhones, so they’ve gone ahead and redesigned the controls of the game to better fit touchscreen devices.

There will be 10 fighters in the mobile release, five from each side. In the Street Fighter corner there’s Ryu, Chun-li, Guile, Dhalsim, and Hugo. Fighting for the Tekken crowd are Kazuya, Hwoarang, Paul, Nina, and King. Newly added to the mobile version is a timed survival mode called Gauntlet Mode.

Gamers will be able to take the fight to anyone in the world (with an iOS device) using either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, and can join in on globally ranked matches via Game Center.

Street Fighter X Tekken Mobile is available now from the App Store at the promotional price of $2.99 and is compatible with iOS 5 of higher.

The trailer for the game, as well as a few screenshots, can be found below.
