Strikeforce Results: Fedor VS Henderson | Henderson Wins [Fight Video]

Last night’s fight between Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko and Dan Henderson, took place at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Henderson, who recently became the Strikeforce light heavyweight champion in March earlier this year, reigned victorious. Henderson (28-8) defeated Fedor (31-4) at 4:12 via TKO in the first round.

Wild action began early, as both fighters were swinging for the fences from the start. Hendo lands a sharp left hook that rocks Fedor, but he manages to stay up. Emelianenko’s right eye is busted up already. Hendo has him pressed up against the fence. Emelianenko grabs the fence and gets a warning from the referee. Henderson misses with a strong right swing as they separate. Emelianenko fires back and rocks Hendo. However, he’s a little too enthusiastic with his attack and Hendo counters from behind with a fierce uppercut. Fedor drops like a sack of potatoes and Hendo pounces. Referee Herb Dean stops the fight.

According to Sports Chat Place: It was a signature win in the already legendary career of Henderson and he will now go back to defending his Strikeforce Light Heavyweight title if contract terms can be agreed upon. Henderson’s next challenge for his Strikeforce strap could come from former champion King Mo Lawal if he defeats Roger Gracie in September or the heavy handed Mike Kyle.
