Trying suit separates for my husband was like a revelation. They actually fit him and saved us tons of money.
Most pre-coordinated suits do not fit my husband’s proportions. Either the pants were too small or the jacket too large.
Plus, they cost a fortune to start with, then add alterations and repairs, and it was
crazy.
But then we tried separates. I pulled a jacket in his size from one rack and pants in his size from another rack. They cost so much less, and because the pieces fit, we didn’t spend extra on alterations and
repairs.
Pre-coordinated suits do work for some people, and if they work for you, then go for it. But don’t be afraid to try separates because you may be surprised.
