Surprise “Flawless” Remix by Beyonce Featuring Nicki Minaj Appears

Late Saturday night, Beyoncé released a new mix of her song “Flawless” with a new verse from singer Nicki Minaj.

Minaj appears after two minutes in the song and sings her verse starting with “Looking Trinidadian, Japanese, and Indian/Got Majaysian, got that Yaki, that wavy Brazilian.”

“Flawless” was one of the greatest hits from Beyoncé’s self-titled album last December. The album was very visual, with short music videos that go along with the songs. They also illustrate ideas that went into creating the songs themselves.

The song “Flawless” is a direct response to those critical of Beyoncé’s feminism. Beyoncé has become one of the most prominent feminists in pop culture in recent years, and has been spreading this through her music.

This is the first work that both Beyoncé and Minaj have collaborated on, something that Minaj in particular has expressed interest in before. Minaj has said that Beyoncé told her to be herself with this verse and not hold herself back. Hopefully many more songs will come from this duo!
