T-Mobile Offers Free In-Flight Wi-Fi

T-Mobile is offering an hour of free in-flight Wi-Fi to its wireless customers, via Gogo Wireless.

The wireless carrier announced Monday that its customers flying on Gogo-equipped flights will receive an hour of wireless connectivity.

T-Mobile announced the offer as part of its latest “Uncarrier” event. The carrier is also offering weekly giveaways to customers.

The offering goes into effect June 13, and allows customers to obtain the hour by following easy steps: Make one Wi-Fi call before taking off, and then once in the air, turn on Wi-Fi, open the browser and click the T-Mobile banner.

iMessage, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp, and Viber are also free for the entire flight.

What do you think? Is this offer worth switching to T-Mobile?
