Target’s Holiday 2016 Deals: A Sneak Peek Plus Free Shipping Now

Target has released its 2016 holiday promos and is offering customers more ways to save this year in addition to expanded gift selections.

Target’s free shipping promo for the 2016 holiday season has already begun and will continue through January 1, 2017. This means shipping is free on all online orders placed at Target.com through those dates.

10 Days of Deals will return for 2016, which features a new deal every day for ten days.

More deals will begin in November and continue in December.

These include 50% off one toy per day, through Target’s digital app Cartwheel, from November 1 through December 24, 2016.

Starting in the middle of November (no specific date was provided), Target will offer a discount of $10 off purchases of $50 or more in a different category every week. Categories include Apparel and Accessories, Home, Grocery, and Trim and Toys.

Shoppers who wait until December will be able to save $25 off $100 purchases as the promotion continues.

Gift cards will be 10% off on Sunday, December 4, 2016 via Target’s Cartwheel app.

Target’s Price Match Guarantee is in effect for the holidays from November 1 through December 24, 2016, but does not include the popular shopping period from Thanksgiving through Cyber Week.

Some highlighted toy and gift ideas from Target’s 2016 holiday sales include:

Approximately 1,000 new pieces from Target’s newly introduced line for kids, Cat & Jack, each under $30.

More than 1,800 new or exclusive toys will be available, about 15 percent more than in 2015. Guests will find thousands of Star Wars products, including more than 100 new exclusive options to gift and collect; more than 50 Trolls exclusives; two new Disney Princesses, Elena and Moana; expanded eye, hair and skin tone combinations within the Our Generation doll collection; and 50 exclusive board games, including pop culture hits such as Oregon Trail.

Newly released virtual reality products including PlayStation VR and VR One Plus, and connected home products including Google Home.

An exclusive 10-disc box set from Garth Brooks, which includes the artist’s new album and features the 25th anniversary edition of “Friends in Low Places.” The box set is available for preorder now for $29.99 at Target.com/Garth and is available at Target Nov. 11, two weeks before the artist’s new album is available at other retailers.

The Wondershop is new for 2016 and will offer customers over 2,000 seasonal items to trim their Christmas trees.

The Wonderlist is also new at Target this year and is designed to make selecting “meaningful and creative” gifts easier, according to the company.

Within the Wonderlist, shoppers can find gift ideas based on the recipient’s interests or personality type. The list contains over 400 edited gift suggestions.

More information about Target’s Wonderlist can be found at target.com/wonderlist.

Shoppers can stay tuned to target.com/deals for Target’s updated 2016 holiday, Black Friday and Christmas deals as well as Target’s Cartwheel app, available for iOS and Android devices.
