Good news for those who find the Grumpy Cat entertaining.
There’s a new movie project in the making that will feature the Grumpy Cat.
The feline is going to finally receive a voice, reports Deadline.
The publication says:
“Broken Road’s Todd Garner and Sean Robins, and Grumpy Cat’s reps (manager Ben Lashes and rep Al Hassas) have teamed up to produce and assemble a package for a Garfield-like feature film with the famous frowning feline at the center.”
Garner believes some great comedy can take place, and those who have followed the Grumpy Cat on the internet will know there’s definitely comedy potential there.
Garner continues:
“This started off as a picture of a cat, but rare is an image that evokes that much comedy. You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character.”
There’s no release date for the Grumpy Cat movie at the moment.
