Later this year Nissan plans on releasing the Titan XD pickup truck to consumers.
Nissan is hoping that the striking new face and diesel engine option will shake up the market.
The Titan XD is meant for work. It has the ability to tow up to 12,000 lbs and can carry a payload of up to 2,000 lbs.
The innovative Utili-track Bed Channel System – featuring four heavy-duty aluminum alloy cleats that move and lock anywhere along the walls, bed floor and header tracks, allow for numerous and convenient tie-down possibilities.
Further features like the dual lockable and water-tight in-bed storage boxes that are not visible at street level, and lockable storage under the rear seats, add security for your smaller cargo.
Other XD bed features include the spray-on bedliner, flush-mounted LED bedrail lighting, cargo and tailgate lamps, 120-volt in-bed access and a damped tailgate that is light to lift and smoothly damped when lowering.
The interior offers more space than the previous model. The dash is fresh looking and well organized.
It uses combination of analog and digital gauges, along with a 5.0-inch color display, unique diesel monitoring and maintenance displays, and 7.0-inch NissanConnectSM with Navigation, Mobile Apps and Services color monitor.
The “zero-gravity” seats can be heated and cooled to provide long distance comfort. The standard tilt/telescoping steering wheel with steering column mounted gear lever frees up space in the center console enhancing the open feeling.
The all-new Titan XD will be available in crew-cab, king-cab and single-cab models, with the choice of the new 5.0L V8 Cummins turbo-diesel, or gasoline powered V8 and V6 engines.
Specifics on price and power will be available later.
