The latest version of the Tesla model S, the P85D, uses two electric motors to produce a monstrous 691 hp and 687 lb-ft of torque.
That much raw electric power enables the car to do a 0 to 60 run in 3.2 seconds, despite weighing almost 5,000 lb.
The video below proves two things: 1. electric cars can be fun and 2. that much acceleration is scary.
