The Top 3 Reasons to Watch The Voice

The Top 3 Reasons to Watch The Voice

Blind auditions for The Voice wrapped up on Tuesday night, and competitors will face off in the next stage of the competition, the battle rounds.

Ratings for The Voice have been through the roof, even beating out the season finale of The Bachelor.

Why do viewers, 13.6 million on Monday, to be exact, flock to the reality show?

1. The talent.

Unlike most other talent competitions, The Voice weeds out the inferior singers early on in the screening process, leaving all the contestants that perform fighting for a spot.

Bad singers can be amusing at times, but what really draws crowds is a plethora of talent. Many contestants on The Voice have experience performing, in a band, or in some aspect of the music industry.

2. The Sexiest Man Alive.

A lot of ladies watch for Maroon 5 front-man and reigning Sexiest Man Alive, Adam Levine.

Other shows like American Idol have popular lead men, Keith Urban for example, but none quite come close to the charisma and good-looks of Levine. A lot of men watch for bombshell Latina Shakira, the only lady on the program. Her precious accent and perfect face draw the male demographic, while Adam brings in the girls.

3. The chemistry.

Everyone in the world knows about Adam and Blake’s friendship- or “bromance” by now.

The two bicker like an old married couple, and gang up against each other during the blind auditions. Blake urges singers to pick Shakira instead of Adam, leaving Adam reeling in dissatisfaction.

The coaches fight and throw jabs at one another, but this isn’t another Nicki-Mariah feud: it’s all in good fun. The chemistry between the four coaches really makes the show worth watching.

The Voice airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC.

If you haven’t watched it, why haven’t you?
