After weeks of anticipation, the wait is over: the trailer to” Iron Man 3” is here.
After seeing Tony Stark assembling with the other Avengers this summer, one could not help but be curious about what was next for the Iron Avenger. Fortunately, the first trailer gives moviegoers some hints as to what’s next for Iron Man.
Unlike the trailers to “Iron Man” and “Iron Man 2“, the first preview to “Iron Man 3” establishes something new in this film series. From the very first shot in the trailer, you can tell that things for Iron Man are not as stylish as we have seen in the past. This time around looks to be a more serious tale for Tony Stark, and for that reason alone is enough to make this new installment something to look forward too.
We last saw Iron Man take on an alien invasion in “The Avengers.”
This time around, Tony takes on perhaps one of his greatest threats as the terrorist, known as the Mandarin, seeks to bring the billion dollar superhero down. After suffering an enormous defeat, Tony Stark must find a way to come back from the ashes and reassemble himself as the Iron Avenger.
Returning to the series is, of course, Robert Downey Jr, as well as Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Chealdle and Jon Favreau.
New additions of the cast are Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall and Ben Kingsley, who plays the Mandarin (and just by listening to his voice in the trailer, you can tell this villain will leave an impression). The director is Shane Black.
Black is no stranger to working with Robert Downey Jr, as he directed the actor in the film “Kiss,Kiss,Bang,Bang.”
“Iron Man 3” will be flying into theaters May 3rd of next year, but until then, let multiple viewings of the trailer begin:
