Team Blake did it again.
Last season Team Blake’s Jermaine Paul was crowned the Season 2 winner of the Voice.
This season Team Blake’s Cassadee Pope took home the $100,000 grand prize and recording contract. Team Blake’s Terry McDermott managed to snag second place, while Team Cee Lo’s Nicholas David took the third place spot. Pope is the first female to win The Voice!
Terry McDermott and Nicolas David charted high on iTunes, but it was Pope who would consistently hit all the way to the top of the charts.
The night kicked off with Rihanna as she opened the show singing her current chart-topping hit “Diamonds.”
Other special performances included Bruno Mars singing “When I was Your Man,” while Kelly Clarkson performed “Catch My Breathe” with Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott.
Former contestants of this season of The Voice also joined the final three contestants to perform a slew of songs. Dez Duron, Mckenzie Bourg, Cody Belew, Diego Val and Julio Cesar Castillo joined forces while singing “Stacy’s Mom.”
Joselyn Rivera, Sylvia Yacoub, Loren Allred, Adirana Louise and Devyn Delorea sang The Emotions’ “Best of My Love,” while Cassadee Pope, De’Borah Garner, Melanie Martinez and Liv Davis sang Imagine Dragons’ “It’s Time.”
The top 3 finalists each got to share the stage with their favorite artists. Avril Lavigne sang “I’m With You” with Cassadee Pope. Pope also performed with The Killers as they sang “Here With Me.” Smokey Robinson sang “Cruisin” with Nicholas David, while Peter Frampton sang “Baby I Love Your Way” with Terry McDermott.
