Toyota Reveals The Refreshed 2016 Avalon

At this year’s Chicago Autoshow, Toyota unveiled the refreshed 2016 Avalon.

The flagship for the brand, the Avalon is in its 4th generation that began with a major remodelling in 2012.

For the 2016 model year the Avalon has received of some minor new styling. The front fascia has been altered and now features a lower and wider grille with a second smaller upper grille, giving a more modern look. Also new to the front are the redesigned turn signals and LED headlights.

At the rear of the vehicle you will find chrome accenting the bumper. New alloy wheels finish off the fresh look of the full-size sedan.

Inside occupants will find an ornamental use of wood grains and a TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system), that is tire specific.

Carried over will be the 3.5LV6 that delivers 268 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is a hydraulic 6-speed automatic with a sequential shift mode. The combination is said to deliver 9.6L/100 km, or 24.5 mpg, combined city/highway fuel economy.

Being a flagship luxury car you can expect all the technological and safety kit that is presently available. Not to mention a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride.
