Tricycles W/Castle On Handlebars Recalled After Injuries

Kiddieland Toys Limited, of Scituate, MA, has recalled approximately 9,000 Disney Princess Plastic Racing Trikes.  They feature a rotating castle with Disney princesses on top of the handlebars, which pose a laceration risk.

The tricycles being recalled are pink with a purple seat and wheels.  The label in the front of the tricycle includes the “Disney Princess” logo just below the handlebar.  Kiddieland announced the recall after reports of injury.

The tricycles were sold at JCPenney, Meijer, Target and H.E.B. stores nationwide.  They were also available online through target.com.  The princess trikes were sold from January 2009 until the recall was announced for $50.

Kiddieland is advising parents to not allow children to use the tricycles and contact Kiddieland for a free replacement handlebar.  Additional information is available from Kiddieland at (800) 430-5307.
